Patricia A. Richards, chair of the League of American Orchestras, has announced the appointments of DOUGLAS M. HAGERMAN, ALAN McINTYRE, and CONNIE STEENSMA to the League’s Board of Directors. Elected by the League membership during the organization’s annual meeting in June, they will each serve three-year terms on the board. Hagerman has been a board member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since 2007, and was elected chairman of the MSO in 2011. He is senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Rockwell Automation, Inc.  McIntyre is vice chairman of the Stamford (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra and managing partner for North America at the global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman. Steensma was most recently on the League’s board from 2004 to 2007. She served as chair of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra from 2002 to 2007, and is now chair emerita and honorary musician of the organization, as well as a member of The Knights Council, which provides guidance and expertise to The Knights, a New York-based chamber orchestra.
