STEPHEN COLLINS has been named director of artistic operations and administration at the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut. He was previously executive director of the Waterbury (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra. Collins has also held posts at two other Connecticut orchestras: director of education and community engagement, New Haven Symphony Orchestra; and librarian/education consultant, Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of The Hartt School of the University of Hartford, he has extensive experience as a percussion performer and teacher.
