“As members of a new ‘Partners in Music’ alliance, Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester, the Worcester Youth Orchestras, and Worcester Children’s Chorus will present an open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at Pakachoag Music School” in Auburn, Massachusetts, reports Richard Duckett in Thursday’s (8/28) Telegram and Gazette (central Massachusetts). “ ‘Partners in Music’ comes as a result of shared programming interests, representatives of the organizations said in a statement. Both the Worcester Youth Orchestras and the Worcester Children’s Chorus will offer programming at Pakachoag this fall. The Worcester Youth Orchestra’s new Youth Baroque Orchestra will meet on Tuesday evenings, and the Worcester Children’s Chorus new Young Singer’s Class, for grades 1 to 3, will meet on Thursdays after school at Pakachoag. Future possibilities include joint concerts.” Worcester Youth Orchestras was founded in 1947 by Harry Levenson. Jonathan Edward Brennand is currently the organization’s artistic and executive director.
