The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has appointed JULIE BYCZYNSKI campaign director for oneDSO, in which capacity she will manage and support the Campaign for a DSO Renaissance. She was most recently associate director of major gifts, sponsorship and special events at the National Arts Centre Foundation in Ottawa, Ontario. A native of Windsor, Ontario, Byczynski has fourteen years of fundraising experience, including as campaign manager and senior major gifts manager of the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. She began her career as a campaign associate for the United Jewish Appeal in Ottawa, and has taught at the University of Ottawa and as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario.
