The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has promoted SCOTT HARRISON to vice president for advancement and external relations. He was formerly senior director of patron engagement and loyalty programs, and before joining the DSO staff in 2010 served as associate director of marketing at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of the League of American Orchestras’ Executive Leadership Program for Marketing and Development Professionals, Harrison holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and in bassoon performance from Northwestern University and a master’s in bassoon performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
