Emerging conductors may apply now through November 10 for a three-day conducting workshop at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada, led by David Zinman. The workshop, to be held from January 24-26, 2015, is designed for young conductors at the assistant or resident conductor level, as well as emerging conductors with experience in regional and national orchestras. Four conductors will be selected for the workshop, during which participants will work with a small ensemble and the National Arts Center Orchestra in repertoire by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, and Dvorák. The workshop is a prelude to NACO’s expanded conductors program with Zinman to begin during the 2016 Summer Music Institute.
