LINDA GREENE has been appointed second flute at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra following a three-day audition process that included more than 100 candidates. She served as temporary second flute at the BPO last season, and has performed with such New York State organizations as the Albany, Binghamton, Catskill, and Syracuse symphony orchestras and Glimmerglass Opera (Cooperstown, N.Y.)  Greene has served on the faculty of Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., since 1986, and taught at Oswego (N.Y.) State College from 1993 to 1998. Since 1979 she has also maintained a private teaching studio. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
