ISAAC THOMPSON has been named director of artistic administration for the Cincinnati Symphony and Cincinnati May Festival. He was most recently vice president of artistic planning at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and before assuming that post in 2012 was a member of the artistic team at California’s Music@Menlo chamber music festival. Thompson has served as a consultant to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, ArtistLed, the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, and the Miró Quartet. He has also performed extensively as a violinist. Thompson holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory Music and the University of Texas at Austin.
