Akron Symphony Orchestra Music Director Christopher Wilkins will give a presentation on February 13 at noon at Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Education and Wellness Center. During his talk, Wilkins will discuss some of the ways the Akron Symphony is working to increase accessibility to the public and make a greater impact on communities of Northeast Ohio. The event, “Enhancing the Musical Experience Through Observations,” is free and open to the public and will cover partnerships the orchestra has established with artists and organizations based in Northeast Ohio as well as educational programming for all ages. Wilkins’s lecture is part of the university’s ongoing “Arts and Culture on Campus” series focusing on the visual, musical, and literary arts and how they interact with and enhance the medical community.
