Houston Symphony Associate Conductor ROBERT FRANZ has signed a contract extending his tenure in that post through the 2016-17 season. Responsible for leading most of the orchestra’s education, community, and family concerts, Franz has served as associate conductor since 2010. He is also music director of the Boise (Idaho) Philharmonic, the Windsor (Ontario) Symphony Orchestra, and the Fairbanks (Alaska) Summer Arts Festival.
