The American Austrian Foundation has announced that April 10 is the deadline for conductors aged 30 or younger to apply for its 2015 Anbsacher Fellowship for Young Conductors. Fellowships are open to conductors who have recently completed their studies, or who are working toward graduate diplomas in conducting at U.S. music schools. The fellowship provides conductors the opportunity to spend up to four weeks at the Salzburg Festival working with conductors and artists during rehearsals performances. Fellows live at Schloss Arenberg, where members of the Vienna Philharmonic are in residence during the month of August. For more information visit the American Austrian Foundation or email ansbacher@americanaustrianfoundation.org. Previous fellowship recipients include Gemma New (associate conductor, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra), Benjamin Rous (associate conductor, Virginia Symphony Orchestra), Kayoko Dan (music director, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera), and Brandon Keith Brown (music director, Philharmonia Orchestra at the Third Street Music School Settlement, NYC).
