The Solti Foundation U.S. has awarded its $25,000 Solti Conductor Fellow grant for 2015 to Vladimir Kulenovic. Kulenovic is music director of the Lake Forest Symphony in Illinois; associate conductor of the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera; and resident of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in Serbia. The Solti grant is given annually to an American conductor age 38 or younger and also includes professional mentoring and opportunities to work with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago. In addition to the Conductor Fellow grant to Kulenovic, the Solti Foundation also announced career assistance awards in amounts totaling $90,200 to nine conductors: Kazem Abdullah, Ankush Kumar Bahl, Karina Canellakis, Daniel Black, Yuga Cohler, Joshua Gersen, Keitaro Harada, Nicholas Hersh, and Joseph Young.
