Do you really know what it takes to run an orchestra? Essentials of Orchestra Management, the League’s acclaimed leadership development program, immerses you in the rewards and challenges of managing an orchestra in the 21st century. For ten days, you’ll live and breathe orchestras, interacting with the best and brightest of the field.

Essentials is open to anyone with fewer than three years of performing-arts experience, including graduate students, musicians, and those from outside the orchestra field.

This year, Essentials will be held in Los Angeles, CA from July 7-16, 2015, in association with the University of Southern California’s prestigious Arts Leadership program, and will bring together some of the most innovative leaders working on the West Coast. Interested in exploring? Visit the League’s website for more details.

Essentials of Orchestra Management is made possible by generous grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Essentials is sponsored by the Association of California Symphony Orchestras.
