San Francisco’s Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra has announced that Associate Executive Director COURTNEY BECK will become acting executive director on June 30, 2015, succeeding MICHAEL COSTA, who announced this winter he would be stepping down as executive director following a six-year tenure. Prior to joining Philharmonia Baroque two years ago, Beck was associate director of development at SFJAZZ. She had previously directed the endowment campaign for the College Preparatory School in Berkeley, and before that was a consultant to the Los Angeles Master Chorale. As an independent consultant from 1996 to 2000 she worked with such clients as the Seattle Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the Minnesota Orchestra. Beck holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Michigan.
