The Lake Forest (Ill.) Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of NETANEL DRAIBLATE as concertmaster, effective with the 2015-16 season. Also concertmaster of the Annapolis (Md.) Symphony Orchestra and the PostClassical Ensemble in Washington, D.C., the 32-year-old Israeli-American violinist is a prizewinner in numerous competitions, including the Jerusalem Academy Solo Competition (1998), Peabody Conservatory’s Yale Gordon Competition (2006), and Peabody’s Grace Clagett Ranney Prize (2008). He is also an accomplished chamber musician, and made his debut CD in 2013 with the Azica/Naxos label.
