The Allentown (Pa.) Symphony Association has announced that STEVEN LIU, founding program director of El Sistema Lehigh Valley, the orchestra’s music education program funded by a Getty Education and Community Investment grant administered by the League of American Orchestras, will step down from that post this fall, returning to his native Los Angeles to pursue other career opportunities. Executive Director Sheila Evans said in a statement that the orchestra is now in the final stages of conducting an international search for Liu’s successor.
