The Olympia (Wash.) Symphony Orchestra has announced a new ten-year contract with Music Director HUW EDWARDS. He is now completing his twelfth season as the Olympia Symphony’s music director, and is also orchestra conductor at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. Edwards served as music director of the Portland (Ore.) Youth Philharmonic from 1995 to 2002, and of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras from 2002 to 2005. A native of Wales, he received his training at the University of Surrey in the U.K. and at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
