The Fort Collins (Colo.) Symphony Association has extended WES KENNEY’s contract as music director through 2017. He is now in his thirteenth year at the helm of the orchestra. Kenney, who also serves as director of orchestras at Colorado State University, is the 2007 winner of the Varna International Conducting Competition and has guest conducted orchestras including the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Colorado, Savannah, Long Beach, and Dubuque symphonies. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and San Francisco State University.
