“Something luminous is brewing in Over-the-Rhine thanks to collaboration between Rhinegeist and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra,” writes Jesse Folk on Wednesday (7/22) at Cincinnati broadcaster WCPO. “The pair is set to release a special beer in honor of LumenoCity 2015…. CSO Music Director Louis Langrée was instrumental in brewing the new ‘Glow LUMENOCITY’ Pale Ale. The new beer will be available at the brewery and at local bars and restaurants starting Monday, July 27. A launch party is planned for 7 p.m. that day at the brewery…. In addition to its release at restaurants and bottle shops throughout the Tri-State, it will be on draft at the LumenoCity Village during the performances Aug. 5-9 in Washington Park. The CSO had previously paired with Christian Moerlein to make a celebration beer in 2014. Organizers said they switched to Rhinegeist this year simply for the opportunity to partner with a different OTR neighbor.… ‘We’re happy to collaborate with various local businesses to make LumenoCity a unique Cincinnati event,’ CSO spokeswoman Meghan Berneking said…. A brass quartet from the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra will be on hand for the launch party on July 27.”
