“BarrettVantage Artists, the management firm formed from the merger of Barrett Artists and Vantage Artists in 2009, has announced that they will split, due, they say, to the lease being up on their shared midtown Manhattan office,” writes Susan Elliott on Friday (7/24) at Musical America. “The 52-year-old Barrett Management, named for its late founder Herbert Barrett (pictured), will relocate to an office in Harlem; staff is unchanged, with President John A. Anderson; Senior VP Mary Lynn Fixler; and Alexandra Bacon, VP of the Vocal Division. Vantage Artists, which gives a Manhattan mailing address, continues with Richard Lee as director and general manager. Their respective rosters remain largely as they were before the split. Barrett, with a roster of 80, is by far the larger of the two companies. The Vantage roster numbers 10, including pianists Joel Fan, Nelson Goerner, John Musto, and Fazil Say; violinist Catherine Manoukian; cellist Inbal Segev; the Arianna String Quartet, the Calefax Reed Quintet; cabaret artists Amy Burton and John Musto; and the Mike Fahie Jazz Orchestra.”
