The Colorado Symphony in Denver has announced the appointment of CHRISTOPHER DRAGON as associate conductor and ANDRES LOPERA as assistant conductor. Dragon, who makes his debut with the orchestra August 12 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, goes to Colorado following nearly three years as assistant conductor of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Lopera begins his tenure officially in the 2015-16 season, which opens September 18. He has conducted orchestras in both North and South America, including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony in Portland, Oregon, where he has served as music director since 2012.
