The Columbus (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of JULIANNE FISH as vice president and chief operating officer, effective September 1. She goes to the orchestra following eight years at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, first as senior director of operations and subsequently as vice president and general manager. Previous posts include vice president and chief operating officer, San Antonio Symphony, and vice president and general manager, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Fish pursued undergraduate studies in music performance at Ohio State University and graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. For seven years she was a member of the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America.
