CARL TOPILOW’s contract as music director and conductor of the Firelands Symphony Orchestra (Sandusky, Ohio) has been extended for five years, through June 30, 2021. He has held the post since 2008. Topilow is also director of the orchestral program at Cleveland Institute of Music; founding conductor of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra; and music director of the National Repertory Orchestra, a professional training ensemble in Breckenridge, Colorado, that he has led for 37 years.
