The Georgia Symphony Orchestra, headquartered in Marietta., Ga., has appointed EMILY HINDES operations manager. A violinist, she has performed with ensembles in the Atlanta and Milwaukee metro areas, most recently with the Atlanta-based indie group Quiet Hounds. Hindes has taught privately since 2010 and has coached chamber groups for the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra. She holds a master’s degree in instrumental performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a bachelor’s in string performance from Georgia’s Kennesaw State University.
