Administrative: Melbourne Symphony

Australia’s Melbourne Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of RICHARD EVANS as interim managing director. He will work in Melbourne three days a week pending the selection of a permanent replacement for ANDRÉ GREMILLET, who recently left the MSO to become executive director of the Cleveland Orchestra. Evans, currently a principal in REA Consulting, has managed such organizations as the Australian Ballet, Sydney Opera House, and Bell Shakespeare Company. Most recently he directed the international search for an artistic director at Sydney Theatre Company.
