The Santa Rosa Symphony in California has appointed JESSE BARRETT second oboe and English horn. Also announced by the orchestra was the expansion of its string sectionto exploit the favorable acoustics of its new venue, Weill Hall at Sonoma State University. The three additional posts will filled by AROMI PARK, first violin; GENEVIEVE MICHELETTI, second violin; and JON KEIGWIN, contrabass.

Barrett is also a member of the Reno (Nev.) Chamber Orchestra and of California’s Merced Symphony and Symphony Napa Valley. He received his training at Boston University and the University of the Pacific

Park, who studied at the University of Memphis, New England Conservatory, and Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, is a former member of the San Francisco Academy Orchestra and the Arkansas and Memphis symphony orchestras.

Micheletti has played in California’s Stockton Symphony and San Francisco Academy Orchestra. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Rice University in Houston.

Keigwin, who also performs in California’s Berkeley Symphony and the Sun Valley (Idaho) Summer Symphony, is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music.
