JORDAN PAL has been named RBC Affiliate Composer at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. During his two-year term, which is supported by RBC Foundation and the Canada Council for the Arts, he will work closely with Music Director Peter Oundjian and Composer Advisor Gary Kulesha, and will participate in community engagement programs. He will compose at least two works for the orchestra, the first to be premiered in June 2016. Pal is a Toronto native whose music has been performed by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and St. Lawrence String Quartet. He holds a doctoral degree in composition from the University of Toronto.
