Georgia’s Symphony Orchestra Augusta has named CARRA PURVIS director of development. She has more than fifteen years of fundraising experience, most recently as coordinator for boards and foundations at Georgia Regents University and its affiliated organization, GRHealth. Before moving to Georgia, Purvis was director of development for Vine Maple Place, a Seattle-area nonprofit dedicated to providing transitional housing. A classically trained pianist and music educator, she holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss.
