“The Bravo! Vail music festival has hired Jennifer Teisinger as its new executive director,” writes Ray Mark Rinaldi in Thursday’s (10/15) Denver Post. “Teisinger comes to Colorado after nine years overseeing operations at another warm-weather music fest in the West, the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Sun Valley, Idaho. During Teisenger’s tenure, the organization reported growth in its budget and attendance and built a new performance space, the Sun Valley Pavilion. She previously worked as executive director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and was youth orchestra manager with the San Francisco Symphony. Teisinger will head up the business and development side of the Vail fest working with artistic director Anne-Marie McDermott. The fest has long-standing contracts to continue hosting summer residencies by the New York Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and The Philadelphia Orchestra.” Teisinger replaces James Palermo, who left in September to become managing director of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
