The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has established the Elsa von Seggern Principal Harp Chair in recognition of a $2 million endowment gift by the E.F. von Seggern Charitable Foundation Trust. The gift honors the legacy of the trust’s founder, the Dallas philanthropist, businesswoman, and lifelong music lover Elsa von Seggern, who died in 1995. The DSO’s principal harp post has been vacant since the retirement of Susan Dederich-Pejovich in July 2015. Auditions for the newly endowed chair are scheduled for this season.
