The League of American Orchestras has announced that Arts Consulting Group, Inc. (ACG) has been engaged to provide interim management services with the appointment of DALE C. HEDDING as the League’s interim vice president for development. Prior to joining ACG, where he leads the revenue-enhancement practice area focusing on contributed revenue, Hedding served for seven years as vice president of development at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Before that he was director of development and volunteer services at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and held senior fundraising roles at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, including leading the development program for the National Symphony Orchestra. Early in his career he was principal trombone in the U.S. Air Force Band of New England. Hedding holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and an MBA in arts administration from the State University of New York at Binghamton. The League is conducting a search for a permanent successor to STACY WILSON MARGOLIS, who stepped down as vice president for development earlier this month to become chief development officer at City Parks Foundation in New York City.
