Virtuosity, the 2014 documentary film chronicling the fourteenth Cliburn Competition, won the Czech Crystal Award for best documentary at the 2015 International Television Golden Prague Festival in October. The film, directed by Christopher Wilkinson, was first shown in November 2014 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas, as part of the Lone Star Film Festival. It was subsequently screened in Seattle, Palm Springs, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, and aired on PBS in July. The competition takes place every four years; applications are being accepted now through October 13, 2016 for the Fifteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth in May-June 2017.
