The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California, has announced the appointment of RACHEL FINE as managing director, effective November 11. DAVID C. BOHNETT will assume the role of board chair on November 18.

Rachel Fine served most recently as senior consultant at the DeVos Institute of Arts Management. She was executive director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra from 2010 until February of this year, and has held leadership roles at San Francisco’s Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, the Juilliard School, Santa Fe Opera, and Aspen Music Festival. A trained pianist, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastman School of Music; studied musicology at Yale University; and completed a one-year management fellowship program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

David C. Bohnett, a founding contributor to the Wallis Annenberg Center, is chairman of the David Bohnett Foundation, which supports programs in the arts, education, social services, and public policy issues such as LGBT causes, animal welfare, gun control, and voting rights. He is the founder of GeoCities, an early internet-based social and e-commerce company. Bohnett holds an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Southern California.
