The Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO), based in Sacramento, has announced that KRIS SINCLAIR will retire as executive director in September 2016 following a 31-year tenure. Founded in 1969 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the artistic, organizational, and fiscal development of its members, ACSO has grown from a membership of 50 to more than 400 under Sinclair’s leadership, and provides benefits and resources to classical music presenters, choruses, festivals, symphony leagues and guilds, businesses, and individuals as well as orchestras. The ACSO Board of Directors will begin a search for Sinclair’s replacement as executive director in January 2016.
