“Minnesota Public Radio and its parent company have received an anonymous $10 million donation,” reads a Thursday (11/12) Associated Press story. “Minnesota Public Radio president Jon McTaggart says the donor is a longtime supporter of public radio who is passionate about classical music and music education. The donation was made without restrictions. Parent company American Public Media says the money will fund technology, digital growth and audience integration. It will also be used to develop classical music programming and music in schools.” Minnesota Public Radio airs radio broadcasts of the Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, in addition to producing the nationally syndicated Classical 24 music service and numerous other programs.
