Two newly created positions at Maine’s Portland Symphony Orchestra have been filled with the appointment of LAURA RETHERFORD as annual fund manager and SAMANTHA SCARF as event and development assistant. Retherford was most recently co-executive director of Girls, Inc. of Wayne County, Indiana, where she created and launched a comprehensive development plan. Scarf was previously associate director of the Rufus Porter Museum in Bridgton, Maine, where she joined the staff in 2012 as an administrative assistant.
