The deadline is January 15, 2016 to apply for the second Fort Wayne International Conductors’ Workshop, to be held from April 21 to 27, 2016 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Participation is open to experienced conductors and those with less experience. Fort Wayne Philharmonic Music Director Andrew Constantine and Ennio Nicotra, a professor of conducting at Italy’s Milano-Bicocca University, will lead individual lessons, workshops, and sessions with the orchestra; the week will culminate in a concert with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. The workshop, held in association with Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and supported by the 80/20 Foundation, follows the principles of Russian conductor and pedagogue Ilya Musin (1909-1999).
