Administrative: Albuquerque Youth Symphony

New Mexico’s Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program has appointed MANDI KANE executive director. She goes to AYSP following a decade of work in public relations, largely in the nonprofit sector. Past president of the Public Relations Society of America’s New Mexico chapter, Kane was a “40 Under Forty” honoree at New Mexico Business Weekly, and in 2015 was named a “Woman of Influence” by Albuquerque Business First. She played in the student orchestra at Lincoln Middle School (Rio Rancho, N. Mex.) and subsequently as an orchestral violist at Rio Rancho High School, where she graduated from the school’s Fine Arts Academy. Kane holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
