The Board of Trustees of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia has elected MARK E. RUBENSTEIN to succeed NINA BARONESS VON MALTZAHN as chair on June 1, 2016. A member of the board since 2009, Rubenstein is a special senior advisor to Rubenstein Partners and former head of the Rubenstein Company, which he founded in 1969 and led until his retirement in 2004. As a real estate professional he played a key role in the Curtis Institute’s construction of Lenfest Hall and the purchase/renovation of the Rubenstein Centre, now home to the school’s advancement offices.
