The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is in the midst of a five-city Florida tour from January 3 to 9, with Music Director Peter Oundjian and 20-year-old Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki. The TSO tour, its fifth to Florida, includes performances at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (West Palm Beach), Artis-Naples (Naples), Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (Miami), and the Peabody Auditorium (Daytona Beach), with a final performances on January 9 at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, in Gainesville. Tour programs feature Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, the Polonaise from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, the second movement (“Wondrous Light”) of John Estacio’s Borealis, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6. Lisiecki is featured in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
