Essentials of Orchestra Management, the League of American Orchestras’ professional development seminar, will be held at the University of Southern California again this year from July 12 to 21. Presented by the League in association with USC’s Arts Leadership Program, Essentials is an intensive ten-day boot camp in which top leaders of the orchestra field teach aspiring and early-career orchestra administrators all aspects of orchestra management. Essentials is open to anyone with fewer than three years of performing-arts experience, including graduate students, musicians, and those from outside the orchestra field. Applications are due March 24, 2016. Visit the League’s website for more information.

Essentials of Orchestra Management is made possible by generous grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Hearst Foundation, Inc., and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Essentials is sponsored by the Association of California Symphony Orchestras.
