The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania will present two days of concerts celebrating Indian classical music on Feb. 20 and 21. The “From Bollywood to Concerto” event will feature Music Director Stephen Gunzenhauser leading the LSO in music by Indian composer and violinist L. Subramaniam at the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster. The concert will feature Subramaniam’s Jo Tum, Turbulence Symphony, Global Symphony, and the U.S. premiere of the Isabella Violin Concerto with the composer performing as soloist. Vocalist Kavita Krishnamurthi Subramaniam, Subramaniam’s wife, and violinist/pianist Ambi Subramaniam, his son, will also perform during the event. Samplings of Indian food will be offered before the concert and during intermission.
