The Spokane (Wash.) Symphony has appointed JEFF VOM SAAL executive director to succeed BRENDA NIENHOUSE, who left the orchestra in July 2015 to take up an executive post at a performing arts center in Newport, Rhode Island. Vom Saal begins his duties with the Spokane Symphony on May 1, 2016. He is currently executive director of California’s Marin Symphony, and has held top administrative jobs at the Quad City Symphony Orchestra (Iowa and Illinois) and the Fargo-Moorhead (N.D.) Symphony Orchestra.
