While in New York City for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s current five-city international tour, members of the Philharmonic and Music Director Gustavo Dudamel performed Tuesday night (3/15) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. After chatting with Colbert, Dudamel led the musicians in Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man. At Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Los Angeles Philharmonic performed Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 on Sunday and works by Williams, Ginastera, Norman, and Copland on Monday evening. The orchestra’s tour runs March 13 to 25, with additional concerts in Amsterdam, Paris, Luxembourg, and London. In the link, the section with the LA Phil and Dudamel begins at the 36-minute mark.
