On April 15, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra will perform a concert in the Schrott Center for the Arts (Indianapolis) celebrating nine peacekeepers of the 20th century. Peacekeepers, composed by ICO composer in residence and Indianapolis native James Aikman, recognizes the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Yitzhak Rabin, Anwar Sadat, Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Jimmy Carter through music and video footage produced by Mike Halerz. ICO Music Director Matthew Kraemer conducts the concert, which also features soloists Dan Tepfer (piano), Rob Dixon (saxophone), Kathryn Krasovec (mezzo-soprano), Steven Stolen (tenor; narrator), the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, and Encore Vocal Arts.
