On April 15 and 16, Carlos Izcaray will lead the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and ASO Chorus in two performances of Cherubini’s seven-movement Requiem in C minor in a version featuring new multimedia projections by video artist Jean-Jacques Gaudel. On the first half of the program, the orchestra will also perform Cherubini’s Concert Overture in G and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. During an additional April 15 morning concert, the orchestra will perform Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Cherubini’s Concert Overture in G, and Cherubini’s Marche funèbre.
