The Association of California Orchestras has appointed MITCH MENCHACA executive director, effective in September 2016. He will succeed KRIS SINCLAIR, who is retiring from the post after 31 years. Menchaca was most recently vice president of services and chief operating office of Chorus America in Washington, D.C. He had earlier headed local advancement efforts at Americans for the Arts and served as senior director of programs for the Arizona Commission for the Arts. Menchaca holds a degree in public administration from Arizona State University and a certificate in festival and event management from the University of Minnesota Tourism Center.
