VÉRONIQUE FIRKUSNY has been named executive director of the Avery Fisher Artist Program, effective September 1, 2016. She will succeed MARY LOU FALCONE, who has led the program for the past 35 years. Firkusny joined the firm of M.L. Falcone, Public Relations, in 2003, and has worked closely with Falcone on a number of accounts and special projects, including the Avery Fisher Artist Program. She is also a freelance translator and diction coach, specializing in the Czech language. Prior to M.L. Falcone, Public Relations, Firkusny worked in the Arbib/Treuhaft vocal division of Columbia Artists Management Inc. Firkusny is a summa cum laude graduate of Barnard College with a bachelor’s degree in Italian literature.
