Symphony NH, based in Nashua, New Hampshire, has appointed MARC THAYER executive director, effective July 1, 2016. He is currently deputy director of the Association of American Voices, where he coordinates performing arts and education programs in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia for the U.S. Department of State. Before joining American Voices in 2011 he was vice president for education and community partnerships with the St. Louis Symphony, and prior to that served as manager of community engagement at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach. A violinist and violist who has taught at Washington University, St. Louis University, and the Community Music School of Webster University, Thayer holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Eastman School of Music.
