The Nashville Symphony is in the midst of a seven-concert series of free concerts in public parks throughout Middle Tennessee in June, led by Associate Conductor Vinay Parameswaran. The Community Concerts series launched on June 2 at Nashville’s Centennial Park, followed by concerts in Bicentennial Mall State Park (June 3), Crockett Park in Brentwood, Tenn. (June 5), Two Rivers Mansion (June 7), and Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. (June 9). The series will conclude with a June 15 concert in Key Park in Lafayette, Tenn., and a June 16 concert in Southeast Park Greenspace, adjacent to the Ford Ice Center in Antioch, Tenn. All concerts are free except at Cumberland University, where admission is $5.
